I have a passion for using pixels and code to create captivating online experiences.

As a developer, with a wondering eye for design - I sought the less traditional route and created an avenue where I could be free to do both.

Jam Black in a DC-based creative who has spent years honing her craft of code and design to create dynamic web products - using her eye for succint, clean code and artistic expression through web design as her tool. Her asthetic is saturated colors and bold pattern designs like those of pattern designers Sarah Bagshaw or Schatzi Brown. When she is not coding or pushing pixels, she studies the intersection of West African Dance and Modern movement as the Assistant Artistic Director and Dancer for Afromoda Dance Theatre. Jam is also a docent in training for the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Jam currently codes and designs for blkdots.

Her obessions include: Spotify, coffee shops, Broad City, and Dolce, her yorkie.
